Oxjam Beeston Takeover 2017, 19:00–19:40 Temporary Deafness at White Lion Bar & Kitchen
About Temporary Deafness:
Temporary Deafness are a Nottingham based fusion band playing songs with influences of Portuguese traditional music and lots of features from Rock,Funk,Reggae,Blues and traditional music from other countries.
Lyrics alternate between English and Portuguese. Though every song has a story, we place emphasis on vocal melody and rhythm rather than lexical coherence, so many of our verses are non-verbal to complement the instrumentation.
We are in the pre-production stage of an LP and we are available to play small Gigs of 30/45 minutes. Recorded material features guitar, drums, bass and lead vocals with accompaniment from accordion, trumpet and backing vocals in certain tracks.
