About Donna Bentley:

  • Genre:
  • DJ

I would describe myself as a Dj hobbyist. I started out as a teenager playing commercial venues and events, until one day I decided to combine my love of the experiance of playing out with my love of house music. I got the decks, enjoyed hunting for records, made some demos, played at a few mates house parties, and off I went. For the last few years I've played various venues around Nottingham as a an electro house Dj (Blueprint, Loggerheads, The loft bar, Image bar, The Alley Cafe, The Maze) Loughborough, Melton Mowbury, Manchester (Antwerp Mansion) and even abroad (Aura bar in New Delhi). I also held a residnecy at Genotype playing Trance and psytrance music for ~1year. Recently I've started the transition into the festival circuit, having played Alchemy festival for the last 2 years, with Kozfest being a new addition for this year! Also new for 2012, I had a great time Djing at the Oxjam Beeston takeover. Despite the shift in scene, I'm still holiding onto Djing with vinyl, although its getting harder and harder to find. I may have to make that transition at some point, but for as long as I can get away with it, and people enjoy it...I'll keep on with the records for now. Also if you like what you hear and you would like me to play, please feel free to get in touch.
