Oxjam Beeston 2018
Final total raised for Oxjam Beeston 2018 - £27,116.
That beats our own record from 2017, and takes the total raised over 8 years of Oxjam Beeston to well over £100,000.
Thanks from the Beeston Team and Oxfam GB to all those who have been involved in any way: sponsors, venues, artists, volunteers, this year and over the eight years.
Thanks to everyone in Beeston and beyond who has supported us by buying tickets or making donations.

Big thanks all round to everyone involved in this awesome fundraising effort.
As you can see from this video we had a rather special afternoon in our lounge in January, when Phil Langran and his band played their first ever shoeless gig.
They lulled us with some beautiful harmonies and had us tapping our (also shoeless) feet to some upbeat folksongs. If only there had been enough room to dance, I'm sure we would have been jigging and reeling long into the evening.
We enjoyed a feast of treats during a well-deserved break and managed to raise an impressive £158 for Oxfam.
Thank you to all our friends for supporting the event, and thank you to Phil, Steve, Mark, Frank and Alistair for such top-notch entertainment.
Big shout out to the wonderful team at Oxfam Books & Music Beeston for a sterling job selling Oxjam Takeover tickets which are going fast, as well as our other events - Classical Oxjam on 17th November and the Oxjam Ceilidh on 1st December. Thanks guys!

On August 12th we held a concert in our garden in Newthorpe.
Shiftin’ Sands were our headline band, from the Oxjam Artist list.
We also persuaded a number of other musicians and singers to join the line-up, giving us a total of 7 different acts.
Due to the weather forecast being unpredictable we erected a number of gazebos and found enough seats for the 50 people that attended.
We provided food and drink, and with several people donating cakes, we managed to raise £300.
The afternoon was a wonderful experience, we had so many comments and e-mails from those that attended and performed, saying how much they had enjoyed the event.
Many thanks to Shiftin’ Sands and all our other acts for making the event so enjoyable.
If you like music, I would thoroughly recommend the Oxjam initiative, as it is a great way to raise money with family and friends.
