ONLY 3 DAYS TO GO!!! And there’s an AMAZING lineup at our Headline Sponsor’s venue The Star Inn at Takeover this Saturday including:
Lively covers duo Half the Battle.
Accomplished fingerstyle guitarist and singer Karen Macleod.
The ever popular Ali and the Cats.
Beeston’s very own The Phil Langran Band bringing you their brilliant intertwining of Americana, Celtic, Folk and Blues themes and distinctive original songs.
The Tontos who will take you back to a 60s beat club vibe.
The George Gadd Band fitting us in before George heads off on tour.
Cross-genre original music from Anteloup.
Oxjam Beeston’s very own “Joe and Emma” (who have been crucial to the organisation of this year’s Takeover - big thanks to you two) aka Midnight Special.
And of course it wouldn’t be Oxjam without premier party band Goose Mccoy, plus some very special guests, finishing off an evening guaranteed to get EVERYONE on the dance floor!

BIG THANKS to those lovely people at NET Nottingham Tram who once more are Oxjam Beeston sponsors.
What's more they have a SPECIAL OFFER for you Oxjammers planning to come to Takeover by tram.
Once again festival goers can buy a £2 event ticket which gives all day travel (on production of an Oxjam Beeston ticket or wristband).
It's great that so many individuals, businesses, organisations and groups all do their bit to make Oxjam Beeston the wonderful festival it is!
CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS THIS SATURDAY! Oxjam Beeston relies on volunteers to help run the venues and kiosks, move equipment, check wristbands and raise funds for Oxfam. We have a core team of volunteers but we need more on the day to ensure the event runs smoothly!!! Can you spare 3-4 hours between 11am and 11pm? Anyone with local knowledge is particularly welcome.
You qualify for a free wristband by volunteering with us as well as getting a very warm fuzzy feeling by having some fun, supporting your local community and raising money for Oxfam :-)
The Crown Inn Beeston have been with us from the very beginning of the Oxjam Beeston journey. They are truly at the heart of the community and so it is fitting that they are paired with stage sponsor, C P Walker & Son, another core Beeston institution. Big thanks to both of you :)
Here’s what you can expect at the Crown on 13th October from 1-6pm:
Studio 7 playing their eclectic mix of feel good party music.
Twisted rock punk ska from The Big Bad
Dixie Jack playing their distinctive mixture of fast, hard-driving American music and country folk ballads
The Unreliables– unreliably sourced eclectic covers from reliable Beeston musos with an undeniable passion for music
WILF and the HULLABALoO - Catchy original Razzmatazz singing and guitar, with a world class harmonica player in tow.
Rylandz - pop, rock and country throughout the decades
Sounds like you’ll be on your feet and in party mood!
