Romy
Romy is a 15 year old Singer songwriter.
Her first song to be played by BBC Introducing was ‘Silence for the Likes’ when she was 11 and it became track of the week on BBC Radio Derby. Since her radio debut, Romy has released a flood of new music which has all been equally as successful. The East Midlands BBC Introducing team have played many of her tracks from her debut Album ‘BOOM!’. Her music’s been played on a number of digital Radio stations including Amazing Radio where ‘Fairytales’ made the audition show and her track ‘My Affliction’ made it to number 24 in their American chart. A huge achievement for someone so young. In quick succession to her Album, Romy released a Halloween themed Punk Rock song ‘From The Grave’ and also a charity single ‘Hold On’ to raise money for Harmless UK.
In January 2024 her catchy country rock song called 'Reds and Yellows' was played on all BBC Radio stations across the East Midlands. 'Tattooed Skin' a song she wrote to support (Broxtowe Women's Project), will follow on February 23rd.
Romy loves busking and also playing with her new band "Romy and The RHADs' and she was nominated as 'Best Female Artist' by Radio Wigwam.
