Nottingham songwriter Phil Langran's songs are engaging, accessible and deeply poetic. His talented and versatile band: Phil (vocals and acoustic guitar), Steve Benford (acoustic guitar, banjo, vocals), Mark Walker (bass, vocals), Frank McCarthy (electric guitar, vocals) and Alistair Bloomfield (fiddle) creates a unique sound, interweaving elements of American, Celtic, folk and blues traditions. In performance they shift effortlessly from moving ballads to flat out traditional stomps and laid-back blues.
